Downhill Bike Park

Sedona and I went to the downhill bike park the other day with her friend Gracey (who will be an up and coming downhiller on the circuit, I'm sure!). It was my first time going. I am more of a cross country rider, but it was definitely fun!!

Summer is Here!

It has been sooo warm this weekend. The girls have gone swimming the last 3 days. On Saturday, we went to this beach in search of Orca Whales as they were spotted there earlier. We didn't see any, but did get as close to an eagle as I've ever been (10 feet). The next day, Chris and the girls did see sea lions a few feet away from shore. They could hear them all the way from our place, so went down to the beach to check them out.

Mother's Day Paddle and Swim

Today, I really wanted to get out on the paddleboards and kayaks for Mother's Day. The ocean was a little choppy so we went to Trout Lake instead and it was calm and warm! The girls and I usually do our first swim of the season on Mothers' Day weekend (Chris waits until later). Yesterday Sedona went in the ocean with a friend, and Aja and I went in the lake today. It was amazing how warm it was!!! Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms out there!

Chapman Falls

Tis' the season to be outside. Yesterday, the girls, Gracey and I biked to Chapman Falls, a very cool spot!

Smuggler's Cove

Last weekend, the girls and I (and Sedona's friend Julianne) went to one of our favourite hiking spots: Smuggler's Cove. It was brilliantly warm and sunny!
