I can walk!!!

Here is a picture of me, mom, and Grandpa Bri showing the world that I can walk. it is such an exciting feeling! However I must warn you, that I do not perform on request, only when i feel like it. Today(Dec 28) I took 14 steps! Must be a birthday present for dad.

Some Florida faves

Being true Allen girls, Lisa and Sedona spent many morning walks with their eyes keenly peeled for birds. The Roseate Spoonbill had to be one of the girls' favourites!

Many happy hours were spent kicking it pool-side during Sedona's Florida vacation. Sedona was equally happy to don the Floridian Apres-swim wear for the camera. This is one of my all-time Sedona faves.

When Sedona was in Florida she discovered that sand mixed with cheese can be a really tasty beach side snack. This pic was taken at Fort Meyers Beach.

The house is rolling

Here is a pic from Friday's foundation pir of our new house in West Sechelt. The builders have been blessed with perfect weather and now we will wait 10 days for the cement to harden, and of course for the crew to celebrate some christmas times.

Water baby!!

Sedona has turned into a real water girl. While spending a week down in Florida, Lisa and Sedona have made good use of the pool.
Of course, her afterswim ware has been as stylish as her new backstroke moves. I sure look forward to meeting up with my girls in TO this weekend for my first Ontario Christmas. Should be areal adventure!!

My girls made it!

After worrying all day about terrorists, snow storms and the Burmuda Triangle, Lisa checked in at 9:30pm our time, 12:30am her time and let me know they arrived safely in Florida.
Now I can sleep.

My classroom

Here a few pics from a kayak outing with my class back in late September, when it still looked like summer out there. With physical/outdoor education being an integral part of my program, i feel blessed to live on the Coast and use all of the avialable landscapes. Today(Dec 7) saw us practise fire building and outdoor survival. Sadly, I forgot to take out the camera!
Chris and NDVR program.

My girls are leaving me

Well tomorrow I drive Sedona and Lisa to YVR for another international excursion without me. Again they are off to Florida to visit with Lisa's mom and step-dad while I slave away in the wet coast for another week of work. Luckily for me however I am heading to Toronto on the 18th of Dec for a week long Ontario visit. My first ever in the winter. Should be a grand experience. So aside from some teaching, it looks like the next week is going to revolve birds and bikes. Speaking of birds, my December species count is at 42 and counting.
Until next time.
