Pretty in Pink
Chris wore pink today (he raided Grandma Lou's closet downstairs for this) in honour of the National Wear Pink day. It stems from a bullying case that arose last year in Nova Scotia. A boy wore pink to school and was bullied because of it. When his two friends heard about it, they decided to wear pink to school the next day to support him. Although I hate hearing about these kinds of stories, I love the feel good part that comes along with it.

It's not all about the Great Outdoors (Just 90% of the Time!)
The recycling fairy waved it's wand upon Sedona the other day and gave her this great doll house for free (from a friend of a friend of a friend). It took us half an hour this morning to set up all the little furniture pieces, accessories etc.
Cypress X Country skiing
For those readers of this blog who do not inhabit the West Coast of Canada, Sunday was one of those days in February that make the dark, wet days of months previous, somewhat bearable. We arrived home from Vancouver and immediatly headed to the backyard for 3 hours of gardening, playing, and relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. Sedona has every Crocus bloom mapped out in her head and was super excited to see bees collecting pollen in the crocuses. I tried to capture an image of the busy bees, but I'm not sure if I caught them on film. The other photo is of a Hellabore, or Lentin Rose. I'll be cataloging and posting more garden shots as they come into bloom. Enjoy.

Sunshine!!!!!
Another glorious day on the SUNSHINE Coast. The past few days it has been living up to it's name. I find I don't really notice the lack of sun in the winter until it gets sunny. Then I realize its been a long time and how nice it is. It sure is great now that the sun doesn't set until 6:00ish either so we can spend more evening time outside. Today after spending the morning at the park with friends (ahh- the life of luxury is soon to end with me going back to work at the end of March, luckily only 3 days a week though), we came home and spent a good hour on our deck. The girls ate their lunch there (Aja's first whole apple!) and then Sedona rode her bike and read books while enjoying the view. The only thing that was missing was Dad/Chris!Oh yeah, for your information Nan and Grandpa P.K., our crocuses opened up a few days ago!

Proving Mom Wrong
I had to prove Mama wrong that I would and could crawl. I started a couple of weeks ago, but only go short distances. Mom's happy because she's getting more time before she has to baby-proof the kitchen. She remembers what a pain in the butt it was to install all the kitchen cupboard latches when my sister the Speed Demon was tearing around the house at 71/2 months and into everything. I like to make things a bit easier for Mom!
