My two beautiful ladies

Lisa and Sedona are enjoying a little cuddle which they are getting more of now that "Mom's" back at work two days a week. Sedona doesn't seem to miss us at all during the day- she is a social bee who seems to enjoy her time with "Nana" and the other kids at our friend Katherine's house.

First birthday!!

Here is an action shot of Sed's first birthday. Though sometimes I hold a monopoly of the hot air in this household, i tried to restrain myself during candle blow-out time. Don't let the look of the cake fool you, this bad boy was nothing but nutrition. Sweetened by apple juice..mmm delicious. Sadly the before and after pic of this cake and the "adult" chocolate cake was not taken. But I'll describe it for you: apple cake-a few finger pokes, and few rolling tumbleweeds going by. Chocolate cake:nothing left but tears and memories after a few short minutes...we tried to be healthy for the kids.......................

Don't spook the 'Horse

Here is Sedona receiving her Christmas horsie from grandpa and Grandma Allen. Sedona has not quite mastered climbing on top, rather she is still perfecting the horsie headlock move. All in good time. Proud Mammy Lisa is poised for some riding action in the background. The title of this blog is in reference to the all the time legendary band, Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

Progress is happening

Just a little teaser to show that action is occuring on our pad. Even though we have had tonnes of rain, believe it or not, the crew has not been completely soaked as alot of the rain has fallen at night.

Reason #459 why we love the Coast

On a whim(perhaps being the first sunny day in months) the Allen families and Kenelly family headed up to Dakota Ridge for a little day outing. Soon to be fully revamped with groomed roads and ample parking space, Dakota Ridge is a gem. Plenty of track to snow shoe, ski or whatever your heart fancies=great day trip.
