Happy Family Day!

It's so nice having an extra day off to spend with family! We went for a hike this morning on a new trail which led to this waterfall, and then we went to another favourite hiking spot to go for a longer hike.

Our Basketball Player

Chris and I are both coaching grade 4/5 basketball this year instead of grade 6/7 because Sedona is old enough to play, which means I get to coach her. We had our first game on Wednesday (against Chris' team) and it was a tie game. Sedona LOVES it and because of playing soccer, she already has a really good understanding of positioning. Yesterday the 3 of us went to shoot some hoops!

Fun Days!

 Aja was Little Red Riding Hood when her class did "Character Dress up Day." She had homemade cookies in her basket to share with her class!

Sedona's class did "Crazy hair day." Her hair is so thick that it's really quite easy to make her hair crazy!

Aja the Shredder

Aja needed a new helmet as she outgrew her other one. Aja is very particular about how things feel- they have to be "just right," and definitely not too big! I think we tried on every helmet in the store, and some 3 or 4 times before choosing this one! By the time she chooses things, it's such a relief, I don't even care how much it costs; I just want to get it before she changes her mind again!

Welcome Litle Chick!

My class incubated some eggs, and this was the only little guy who made it. He hatched on Thursday night and it was truly amazing to watch the whole process. He will stay with us for a few more days before he goes to another family who will raise him on their farm. The girls have been so enthralled with him, and Aja has affectionately called him "Ricky."
