Father's Day Hike

 

 

Last weekend we had a great Father's Day. We went for a nice hike to Smuggler's Cove where we saw a lot of great sea life, inluding a calcareous tube worm (look it up- very cool), tried identifying wildflowers, and just enjoyed our time with Chris, an AMAZING father and husband!!!!

Year End Dance Show

The girls had their year end dance show on the weekend and loved every minute of it! They had a dress rehearsal on Friday night and then two performances each on Saturday and Sunday. Aja was in "primary combo" this year which was a combination of everything. Sedona was in Modern and Hiphop. The dance academy does such a good job of the year end show.

Camp Elphinstone Open House

The girls and I went to Camp Elphinstone's openhouse yesterday where they'll be attending daycamp this summer. Chris went there as a kid. I went to summer camp throughout my childhood and have some of my best memories there. Just being there brought back a flood or great memories, even though it wasn't my camp. The highlight for the girls was the ropes course.

Go Mama Go!

Yesterday was our MOMAR Adventure Race and....... not only did we have a great time, but we placed first in the women's category and 3rd overall (including teams of 2 men and coed teams). Our team name is "Go Mama Go" and we kayaked, mountain biked, trail ran and orienteered for 35 kms. It took us 4 1/2 hours and included a half hour thunder storm during one of the bike stages. We met great people along the way and had a great time at the banquet and awards ceremony last night! The training paid off!
