Reflections

I look at this picture of Sedona taken this morning and I honestly wonder where the last 27 months have gone. With her braids and little red coat, she looks so grown up to me. She talks a blue streak and understands everything. I'm sure this little wee one about to be born is going to seem so small and foreign to us, and Sedona will all of a sudden become huge. Even with a new baby, it's hard to imagine Sedona as anything but our precious little girl. We are ready and excited for the arrival of the new babe- less than 3 weeks until my due date, but it could be anytime. We will keep you all informed! Until then, we're enjoying every last minute as the "three" of us.

When spring is winter....

That is, when the winds and clouds and rain make one feel like they live in a sunless world, kids and parents pull out the tickle trunk and play dress-up to keep spirits warm. Here is Sedona modelling a ballerina tutu given to her. She is also working on her "fake smile" as seen here so dramatically. We have had a great break, and without work I actually I have time to sit and look at my fave pics to post.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

One of our favorite pastimes is going for walks. The best walk according to Sedona is the one where we walk to a certain point and then she gets out of the stroller to check out the emus, horses, cows and chickens. We're especially interested in the hollow sound the emus make- anyone know what that's all about? Here she is also playing with a snake.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

It was green day at Sedona's daycare today- she got in touch with her "Irish Kelly" roots with her all green attire, including her "undies." Mom unforuneately didn't have any green maternity clothes with 1 month to go. The countdown is on. Any bets as to the date?

A True "Allen" Girl

Yesterday Sedona and I went into Vancouver with some friends to the aquarium. While my favourite creatures were the seahorses (I had never seen a real one before) and the Stellar Sea Lions (they were huge!!!!), like a true Allen girl, Sedona couldn't get enough of the birds. She kept going back to the exhibit with the Scarlet Ibis birds. She can now I.D. a few different birds and is on her way to making her dad proud! She'll know more birds than me in no time I'm afraid!

Cheers!

Toasting with a hot chocolate after snowshoeing up to this mountain viewpoint this morning. What a treat to head up the snow and then come back and enjoy the crocuses in bloom!
