I am so lucky to be part of a great book club with 6 amazing friends! We meet once a month for desert, wine and discuss the book chosen for that month. As an avid reader, it has allowed me to also read books I would not normally choose. More importantly though, it is a great opportunity to get together with other women and chat. I love our monthly meetings. We decided to go on our first book club trip. We went up the coast to "The Painted Boat"for a lovely retreat. Our day started with one of my favourite hikes up Mt. Daniel, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Then we went to the Painted Boat where we had a villa that slept 10 with a fully equipped kitchen. It was sooo wonderful- a night full of laughter, great conversation and funny stories, inspired by our most recent book "Let's Pretend this Never Happened." We are already planning our next retreat for the fall. Thanks to all the hubbies for watching the kiddies so we could get away!
