Skating

We had our first skate of the season today. Unfortunately, our rink is closed due to some issues, so we have to go to Gibsons which means we won't be skating as often this year.

Aja's First Tooth!

Aja lost her first tooth a couple of weeks ago. It was only loose for a few weeks, and she wouldn't let any of us touch it, but pulled it out one night at 2 in the morning by herself! She hasn't been wanting m to take a picture of it, but finally let me yesterday!

4D Trail

We took the girls hiking on the coast's newest mountain biking trail called 4D the other day. Just the day before, Chris and I had been riding there and it snowed on us during our ride. The girls loved the trail for it's many bridges and fun hills! It won't be long before they're riding it too! Big kudos to Brad and Lorraine, our trail building heroes!!!

Allergy Testing

I have suspected for a few months now that Sedona has an allergy to dustmites. We got her into an allergist and it was a very interesting process. it hasn't changed at all since I was a kid. They scratched the surface of both arms, put a drop of the different allergy tinctures in and then waited for a reaction. You can see on the "food" side, that there was no reaction, whereas on the "environmental factors" side, she immediately broke out into hives. And yes, she is allergic to dustmites (the strongest one), as well as grass and cats.

Aja's New Hobby

Aja LOVES kindergarten!! And all she wants to do in her free time is write now. She is constantly practicing her letters and asking what words she has spelt or how to spell something. Last week, she got to bring home her class mascot for the weekend. When it's their day, they get to write a journal entry. In most cases, the parents do the writing, but Aja was determined to write the entire entry herself. I helped her to spell out these words: "Alexa came home with Aja. We played with Teigan. I had swim lessons. Alexa watched me. I went to my cousin's birthday. Alexa had fun." It is such a fun stage!!!

Trick or Treat!

Our costumes this year were: Chris- "Dog" the Bounty Hunter, Sedona- a genie, Aja- Belle the Princess and Lisa- Batgirl. We had a great time trick or treating with a bunch of other kids. It poured rain the entire day and then cleared up just in time for us to go out!!
